Christmas comes in a unique season each year. The hours of daylight grow shorter and shorter as the weather cools and the world falls into hibernation... so we start hanging up lights. It may be a strange and seemingly random set of circumstances that led us to celebrate this season this way, but it is also fitting that we use light to mark our Christmas celebrations. For many, Christmas time can be an especially difficult time as we deal with feelings of loss, discouragement, depression, and loneliness. For all of these we can look to Jesus for help and healing that only He can provide as He can fill our hearts with love, joy, hope and comfort.
