Fellowship: more powerful and meaningful than you might think.

   The word fellowship for some elicits mental images of church pot-lucks and other lighthearted social gatherings that help us to learn someone else’s name and maybe have someone learn ours. Or maybe just the recollection of movies about hobbits and rings and adventure and peril. (We laugh, but the second may be closer to the truth than the first.) Whatever images arise in your mind when you think of fellowship, the reality presented in the scriptures teaches us that fellowship is a critically important discipline and one of the most powerful sources of strength in the life of a believer.
